A brief drama occurred today at the house of Representatives as Prof Emebradikumo Pondei was being interrogated by the House of Committee led by Thomas Ereyi on the mismanagement of funds.
While being asked to explain, he slowly fainted and began to lose consciousness. This resulted to panic in the house. All hands was on deck to help him regain consciousness; a man helped open his mouth and others tried to hold him up. This caused the interrogation to come to a halt. He was later moved out as he seemed to regain consciousness.
Although, this isn’t the first time an interrogation on Prof Pondei has ended in drama.
Prof Pondei, the boss of NDDC, had walked out last week on the lawmaker, because he felt they won’t be a fair hearing as far as Olubunmi Tunji- Ojo the chairman of the lawmaker is the one subsiding the investigation. This made Tunji-Ojo allow Thomas- Ereyi- Tobi, the deputy chairman to take over the case.
